Saving Our Native Bees

Join Debbie Nicol from the Master Gardeners of Kent County for an enlightening lecture on “Saving Our Native Bees.” With 23% of native bees facing decline due to factors such as pesticide use, habitat loss, and climate change, the urgency to act is now. This talk offers practical solutions on how to contribute to the conservation of these essential pollinators. You’ll learn about their nesting preferences, favorite host plants, and ways to protect and nurture them back to health. Each attendee will also receive a mini field guide, an invaluable tool for identifying the native bees that buzz through Delaware and its neighboring regions. Don’t miss this chance to make a difference in the lives of bees and, by extension, our ecosystem.
