Native Plants for Happy Pollinators

Beautiful gardens and landscapes can be designed to enhance your property value as well as provide beneficial habitat to declining populations of bees, bats, and butterflies. Participants will leave with a working knowledge of local native plants and pollinators and how to enhance your garden for their needs.
Katelin Mielke Frase is the Education Director at Environmental Concern. She is a Certified Maryland Association of Environmental and Outdoor Education (MAEOE) Environmental Education Professional. Katelin develops curricula and teaches wetland and environmental education programs to children and adults, both in the classroom and outdoors in wetland environments. Katelin leads professional development workshops, including WOW! The Wonders of Wetlands, WOW! Facilitator, Wetland Plant Identification, POW! The Planning of Wetlands, Rain Gardens: Landscaping for Water Quality, Wetland Plant ID for Educators and more. She manages Environmental Concern’s Youth and Schoolyard Habitat programs, working closely with the Restoration Department.
