Bonsai 101

Mar 18th @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Bonsai 101

Bonsai is an ancient form of cultivation. Some say bonsai began as a way for Ayurvedic doctors to carry their plant medicinals from village to village, while others claim it is an ancient art form and mode of meditation. Regardless, bonsai is beautiful. It allows the gardener to use creativity and precision to form a shape from virtually any plant. Bonsai often last for years and even generations, as the gardener/artist prunes and shapes the plant to realize a vision. In this class, Certified Professional Horticulturalist and Homestead Gardens Nursery Manager Zach Ebaugh will teach participants how to visualize their bonsai project, choose a plant, and how to water, feed, and care for their investment. This class is free, however, registration is required. Please register here.
