University Classes Begin this Week. First up, Wildlife!

The Winter 2013 Semester of Homestead University starts this weekend, with workshops about Birds and other Wildlife we Love.  Registration open for these low-cost events (just $5-10).  Click here to see the full calendar, then click on individual workshops to register.

Saturday, January 19 

Kids Build a Birdhouse Workshop, 11:00 to Noon at Davidsonville store.

Kids Paint a Birdhouse Workshop,  Noon to 1:00 at Severna Park store.

Wintering Raptors Noon to 1:00 at Davidsonville storeOur friends from Predator’s Eye return to teach us about how raptors and other birds overwinter in our area. Live raptors will make an appearance!

Sunday, January 20

Gardening for Wildlife 11:00 to Noon at Davidsonville store AND 2:00 to 3:00 at Severna Park store.

Master Naturalist Robyn Affron will show us how to make our gardens inviting to birds as well as other wildlife.  Robyn is a Certified Professional Horticulturist and Master Naturalist Intern with 16 years of experience in horticulture. She is currently sharing her talents at Adkins Arboretum in Ridgely, MD.
