The Street Gardens of Annapolis

by Susan Harris

Traffic Circle at the Annapolis Dock.

There’s some mighty nice landscaping going on in downtown Annapolis these days, like this collection of summer bloomers that knock our socks off yet require minimal care.   Lots of great plant ideas for us homeowners, too.   I took these photos on June 4.

Visitors Center garden with Russian sage, purple coneflower, daylilies and grasses

And petunias everywhere in baskets

Private balcony gardens are for the public, too
