Be Inspired Seasonally with Rita Calvert

Along with the support and generosity of our community, Homestead Gardens is donating farm-grown Christmas Trees to U.S. troops and military families through Trees for Troops®, a nationwide program of the Christmas SPIRIT Foundation in conjunction with the National Christmas Tree Association, and FedEx.

Homestead Gardens is a proud sponsor of Trees for Troops® 2014. In their second year, Homestead is hoping to donate 300 trees to this worthy cause and ended up donating 312!.  “It is an honor to again be a part of Trees For Troops.” Said Brian Riddle, Homestead Garden’s CEO.  “We are grateful to the men and women in the armed services who sacrifice so much to keep us safe, including being home during the holidays. Trees for Troops is one way for us to show our deep appreciation to these brave men and women.”

The Tree story of “Woodland Friends” really encompasses so much of the Homestead Gardens’ story. Birds, owls, trees and all of wildlife represent what Homestead Gardens honors and hopes to help you cherish.

So here in this holiday blog post we bring you many of the beautiful friends of the woods woven within our tree stories which make life so meaningful.
